Away For A Few Days

Just a quick note to say I'm going to be away for a few days. I'm in the middle of a two-week break from work, and normally this would be the time that Joanne and I spend a fortnight together, but unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control we had to cancel, so we won't get to see each other now until early in the new year. It was her birthday yesterday, and I really missed not being able to take her out for dinner to celebrate. Gonna have to do it as a very late celebration along with Christmas and New Year!!! So, during the past week I've been doing a lot of painting in the house, and am thoroughly sick of the smell of gloss paint fumes. Today I'm driving down to the south coast of England to visit my folks for a couple of days, then moving on to visit Baz, who only lives about 35 miles from them, for another few days. I'll be back Thursday or Friday. See you all when I get back.

  6. Aww...how sad that you and Joanne are missing a visit. I hope the New Year plans get to be extra special for the two of you! Enjoy though...the time with your parents and with Baz! Can't wait to see the photos to come!

  7. That sucks Mitch, I bet Joanne is feeling as lousey as you do.

It is great that you are taking off to see your folks and then on to see Baz. If he can't cheer you up me thinks no one can. LOL

Take care, stay safe, and be happy.

    Huggles.

  9. Well it sure sucks you don't get to see Joanne. Next year seems ages away, but I know at our age it will be here before we can blink.

Enjoy your visit with your folks and Baz.
