Picture Perfect: A Few Of My Favourite Things

Yes, it's a favourite at any time of year, it's PICTURE PERFECT. This week our host is Gayle, who has chosen the theme 'A FEW OF MY FAVOURITE THINGS'

I think Gayle had intended it to be favourite Christmas things, but as I've already used Christmas photos on both 'Images & Words' and 'Picture This' in the last few days, I'm going to use a more general selection. My collage consists of my favourite person: Joanne, of course!! My favourite place I've visited: Bryce Canyon, Utah, and two of my favourite types of photography: plant macros and insect macros.

  1. Guess was right with one -- Joanne's photo. Love the others too. Some day I hope to visit Bryce Canyon. Each time I try to take a micro, I wonder if I will ever get one as nice as yours -- but I bet you have a better lens than I do.

    1. Thanks Lynda. I hope you get to visit Bryce one day, it's an awesomely beautiful place.

While it helps to have a fairly good lens, getting good macros is also about stability of both camera and subject, patience and LOTS of practice. Believe me, I only keep about 15 - 20% of the macro shots I take.
