Picture Perfect Competition #2: Highs/Lows

It's Week 2 of the PICTURE PERFECT winter competition season.  This week our host is Gary The Gator, who has chosen the theme of 'HIGHS AND LOWS'. You can chose to post a photo that illustrates either 'HIGH' or 'LOW', although if you have a photo that shows both at the same time, all the better!!

I guess my photo would class as 'HIGH', as it was taken from the observation deck of the Stratosphere Tower, in Las Vegas. The windows here lean outwards, so to see the ground directly below you have to lean forward some. I'm not usually bothered by heights, but it did make me feel a little vertiginous. I wanted to try to convey that feeling, and by tilting the camera at a sharp angle, I think it's increased the effect dramatically.

Vertigo

  21. I like the way you see the mountains in the background, its quite nice to see some of the old natural landscape that this town came from. I like the contrast between the hills and the buildings in the foreground. :-)
