seems we shared the same wave lnk this week, Mitch. I cannot even begin to imagine what it is like to spend a lifetime in total darkness
If a person were to be sightless since birth or within a few years, I don't think they would 'see' the awe that we do.. In my opinion, a sunset/sunrise must be SEEN with the eyes. Only then is the true beauty experienced and only then can emotion kick in. I think with the right words, the unsighted may get an idea what it looks like...but in no way grasp it like a sighted person.
What a poignant question. And a lovely photo to go with it.
ReplyDeleteSolnedgångarna kan verkligen vara sprakande skådespel. Vacker bild med vattenspegeln.

ReplyDeleteThanks DL :-)) This was taken not far from where I live. It's looking down the Cleddau River towards the sea, at Milford Haven, Wales.

DeleteThat is pretty much how I thought about the question.

ReplyDeleteThanks HF :-))
DeleteA beautiful sky! It´s not easy to describe the colors and the light ... so I think it´s hard to imagine one ... even more if you have never seen one!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary :-)) I think you may be correct.
DeleteI think it's possible to imagine, however, the result of the imagination might have nothing to do with the reality... Gorgeous sunset!
ReplyDeleteThanks Belita :-)) Yes, without any point of reference, the imagination could come up with something totally different!!
DeleteI don't think I could imagine one has pretty as your photo
