Picture Perfect Competition #3: CREATURE

It's Week 3 of the PICTURE PERFECT winter competitions. This week our host is Gayle, who has chosen the theme of CREATURE.

This was rather difficult for me, as I have so many 'creature' photos!! Animals, birds, insects, you name it!! Anyway, in the end I decided on one of my fave bird shots.

THE RAVEN. I met this handsome chap at Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah. He'd come and land on the railings of the observation area at Ponderosa Point and mug for all he was worth, posing while I took photos, glancing in my direction occasionally, hoping for a snack no doubt!! When he realised I didn't have any food, he hopped down and helped himself to some tasty squashed bugs off the fender of our hire car!! LOL.

  5. A beautiful creature Mitch, with that beak I sure am glad he didn't peck you. That would be a real big ouchie.

I have never been able to tell the difference between the Raven and the Crow, except the Crow is the nasty one.

    1. Ravens are usually significantly bigger than Crows, although not as noisy or aggressive on the whole.
