Picture Perfect ~ COLOURFUL

Time once again for PICTURE PERFECT. This week we have a guest-host.....none other than that rarely-seen (at least on Blogger) rodent FURBALL (KK). She has chosen the theme of 'Colourful', in celebration of Spring.

Well, here in Wales, Spring has still not arrived. We've just had the coldest March since 1962. Apart from a few daffodils and snowdrops, there is very little growth. Not a blossom to be seen on the trees yet. So, my photo is looking forward to the warm colours of summer.......

    1. Thanks Kathy. The sun is actually out this weekend, but there's still a very cold easterly wind blowing. Maybe the sun will encourage some blossom to open.

  2. Mitchy that is absolutely exquisite! While still in the throes of a long, dreary and colorless winter, it is pure joy to see your beautiful entry! Thanks for playing along. - KK

  7. I'm trying to decide if those stamens are miniature hamburgers or miniature Oscar the Grouches...think I'll go with Oscar. It's a great picture with loads of color.

  10. Excellent macro, Mitch! It's really good to look at it and think of spring that this year seems to be lazier than ever. I don't know how long it has been raining heavily and continuously but for many days, already. Anyway, Happy Easter!

    1. Thanks Belita :-)) Yes, Spring has seemed so long in arriving this year, although there are some signs this weekend that it might actually be here at last. The sun is shining here, although still a very cold wind blowing too!!

  11. Wow I love the detail you manage to get in your photos. Those little hairs are so sharp. Today I received my new camera, I'm so excited, its ages since I had a decent camera, this is my retirement present to me. Its a Fuji Finepix S4530 30xzoom 14 MP...........I am so excited and you are the first person I thought about telling.....:-))

    1. Hi Loretta. Sorry I'm only just replying, but I've been away on holiday in the US. Sounds like a good camera, has the same zoom and MP as my camera. It should have a built-in macro setting, most good cameras do, so you can start practicing getting shots like these!! Can't wait to see the results.
